Paull Village Hall
To replace existing dilapidated Village Hall with a modern facility that will once again become the centre of the community with access to all within this deorived rural community
What does your charity/project do?
Paull has no basic services e.g. Shop, Post Office, medical. The community has decided to replace existing dilapidated hall with a new facility that can provide basic needs so they remain healthy and active, access the services they need locally, have the opportunity to learn and develop and continue to be a close knit and collaborative community.
How does your charity/project support the local community?
Improve the well-being, social and recreational opportunities, medical health of the community at an affordable cost and reduce social exclusion Greater involvement from all sections of the community and creating a cohesive structure Engage younger generation, providing additional resources to the school and social events to improve citizen skills and reduce anti-social behavior. Ensure the elderly members of the community are kept physically, mentally and socially active
What do you plan to use the CommunityForce award for?
One of the most essential requirements to achieve our objectives, which we can use both now and migrate to a new hall, will be projection and sound equipment. It can be used for presentations, film shows and for the children to play Wii games in a social environment, and via broadband against other villages, rather than the resticted space of their own bedroom.
