The charity works to support the redditch community, empowering vulnerable people, through help and project work, encouraging life long learning, health, and support working with any one who may have a social need.

What does your charity/project do?

The Charity has several projects, including a resettlement to work program with the local prison. A community cafe working with young people with learning disabilities, a breakfast club, allotment, youth club and drop in centre. We also work with people who are suffering domestic abuse. The drop in centre runs groups for people with mental health issues, and the elderly. the drop in centre also holds regulaur drop ins for alcoholics and drug users, to access services such as the blood born viru

How does your charity/project support the local community?

The charity supports the local community by offering access to services and facilities that are not on offer any where else, including training around domestic violence, the charity provides services for the most vulnerable members of the community , we also offer a number of practical projects including gardening and maintenance services for local people. our project work creates opportunities for marganalised people to re engage with the community.

What do you plan to use the CommunityForce award for?

The award would be spent on keeping our vital youth provison on the estate running. This would allow young people to access opportunities and provision that they would not normally receive. The county youth service is no longer operating youth provision on the estate, and at present the youth provision we offer is all that there is. We would like to continue these services providing positive opportunities for young people , but we are unable to do this financially.
